Midterm exam study guide
There will be two main parts to this test. Part I will consist of four short-answer questions, each worth 10 points. Some key terms/concepts you need for these include the following:
1. Types of law.
2. Models of law (e.g., consensus).
3. Rationales for punishment.
4. Exclusionary rule.
5. Indigents and the courts.
6. Politics and the CRJ system.
7. The “due process” and “crime control” models.
8. Deterrence
As for the essays, you will have to answer three questions (choosing among several offered). Here are some hints for these questions:
